Stories of a Gym Member

Today, I worked out at the gym here in Provo for the second time.  I have had a membership to Curves before and a gym in Mississippi before but this is a real Gym that has a commercial and thousands of locations worldwide.  The first time I went, I hopped on an elliptical and that worked out well except that 20 minutes into it, the darned thing started to scream every time I lifted my left foot up to go around.

This time I got in the pool to do laps.  On Sunday, I got a blister on my ankle from walking to church in my newer black heals so on the way home, the only thing I could do was go barefoot.  By the time I got home, my feet we the nastiest shade of black they have ever been and I had HUGE blisters on the balls of my feet too and it is only two blocks, hence the need to swim and not run.

I got into it and was going real good for the fist 30 minutes.  I had my own lane then a lady comes in and says that she needs the first two lanes (one of which I was in) for her class so I moved over and it was me and some guy.  He was faster than me and I felt sort of bad for him cause he was doing breaststroke and I was just floating and kicking my feet cause I didn’t have any goggles.

Back to the lady.  I asked her how much of the pool she would need and she said the rule is, if there are 10 or more people, she gets the whole thing and that she probably wouldn’t have that many.  I kept swimming and 10 minutes later I had to get out.

Over all, it was a good workout.

LAST NIGHT

Last night Goodlooking, Freshman 40, and I watched a movie and then sat and talked for a while.  At about 11 of the PM, Goodlooking said "I think I just saw a MOUSE".   I was all like WHAT.
(I hate bugs and all matter of things that you don't normally want in your home.  When a bug flies at me, it makes me angry and stressed out.  You never know if it is poisonous or full of unwanted diseases.  When I see a bug in our home, I don't feel comfortable till I know it is gone or Goodlooking has killed it dead.)
After he said that, I found my flip flops, put them on and grabbed one of Goodlookings new blue Nikes as a weapon for protection.  Goodlooking and freshman 40 went looking for it because they are not crazy like me and I stood on the couch with the shoe.  I walked into the tiny hallway of our large apartment (I am not sure why) and the dang thing came running at me like a bat out of you know where.   I screamed like a man screaming like a little girl and jumped around.  It scared the little menace and it ran into our ROOM!!!  That was the worse place for it to go because that is where the majority of our stuff is from the move back from the SOUTH.  We looked and LOOKED and Freshman 40 kicked at things as I stood on the bed looking behind the bed and night stands.
Goodlooking remembered what we learned at Nauvoo and fashioned a PIONEER mouse trap.  It was pretty genius but the mouse is no where to be seen.  I found a hole in the corner of the room by my side of the bed behind the night stand so today after buying modern mouse traps and loading it up with Pnut Butter, I put one there.  It has been almost 24 hours since the sighting and it is not dead YET (emphasized because we WILL get it!!)

ON A LIGHTER NOTE
Goodlooking, Freshman 40, and I went to PetSmart and got some more fish.  6 of our old Goldfish died so we got 1 sucker (algae eater), 1 Frog, and 4 neon glow fish (1 red, 1 orange, 2 green)   They are pretty AWESOME!!!!

Like a Pioneer (in a car)

Right now we are in Cheyenne Wyoming at Little America just chillaxin' cause we just spent like 6 hours in the CAR.  Last night, we were in Lincoln Nebraska and I am not a fan.  The hotel we stayed at was more expensive than the one we usually stay in BUT we had to pay for parking AND there was no fridge or free breakfast.  Moral: Just because a hotel, motel, inn, or suite doesn't mean it is nicer.  When paying more, you pay for a name and some guys yacht.

HOW ROMANTIC

"I wrote to Moor House and to Cambridge immediately, to say what I had done: fully explaining also why I had thus acted. Diana and Mary approved the step unreservedly. Diana announced that she would just give me time to get over the honeymoon, and then she would come and see me.

"She had better not wait till then, Jane," said Mr. Rochester, when I read her letter to him; "if she does, she will be too late, for our honeymoon will shine our life long: its beams will only fade over your grave or mine.""

And Here We Are Again

A few weeks ago we had the privilege of touring this huge ship.  It is at Mobile, Alabama but I don't remember the name of it.  It was supper hot and humid and these are some pictures that I took with my handy dandy camera.

Here is the ship BEFORE we got on it.  You can see Goodlooking in the lower right (ish) corner.

And here, we have a photo of Jack in the bunks.  This is where the regular people on the ship slept.  These tiny bunks that were (I think) 3 or 4 bunks high.  You can see there is not much room for anything but sleep and if you were tall, you would probably rather sleep on the floor.  It was a metal frame with springs underneath holding up a mattress similar to one that I used at Girls Camp many years ago.

In this photo, we have a sad little man wielding a little gun.

Next to him, there is the great machine gun fanatic blasting away the enemy.
Jealous?  I think so.

And here is a silly one that shows I didn't hold the camera the whole time.

And this concludes out long story short of the trip to Mobile Alabama.  (We stopped here on our way to Orange Beach Alabama)
