Update Quickies

I accomplished my goal and ran three times this week for 10 straight minutes each (kind of... one was a run with the hubby and I didn't time it but I assume it was 10 minutes because it was about the same distance that I have been running for 10 minutes).

Have you ever accidently plucked a crucial eyebrow hair?? I did and now I look like a silly high-school wrestler who shaved stripes in his brows.

Have you ever barked at a squirrel to scare it back up a tree while sitting in your car then realized that the person behind you has their window down?? I have and it makes me laugh real loud (GoodLooking did it too.. He is the one that told me their window was down).

Have you ever been so adamant about not being all ChirstmasY before Thanksgiving then wanted so badly to put up Christmas lights and listen to Christmas music two weeks before Thanksgiving?  I am.  I blame it on Walmart and their Christmas trees up at all the entrances the day after Halloween practically.

Have you ever felt like you are in the forest in someone's backyard 1 mile away from the interstate? I did last night.  We went to one of GoodLookings co-workers house for a shindig and it was really fun.  The food was DELICIOUS and he and his son played bluegrass and we had s'mores S'MORES!!

Have you ever not had kids but bought kid toys cause it was a really good deal?? We did.  It was a great deal and they are toys that we had growing up.

Love you Forever

GoodLooking and I went for a run today (another story for another day) and when we go out to run, we walk by the garbage (it's on the way, if it weren't, we wouldn't... maybe... hmmm).  Today, GoodLooking found a piece of GOLD!!!

Not literally BUT it was a children's book Titled Love you Forever.  I had never even heard of it so I read it when we got home from our (terribly long) run...

It made me cry.  Have you ever read it?? If you didn't cry while reading it, you didn't read it right.
It is so sweet in a mother daughter son/father daughter son kind of way

I'll love you forever
I'll like you for always
As long as I'm living
My baby you'll be

Running for Time

I decided that today is the day!!!

A while back, GoodLooking and I started running.  We were doing really well for a while then we had a nasty spell of pain and illness.
After a long time of not running, I decided to run today.  The weather is a lot colder and I just wanted to see if I could go for 10 minutes without stopping so I hopped on the local treadmill.
I DID IT!!
It was really hard but I managed to run for 10 minutes straight...

and now I die

Every once in a while, I realize that I am the luckiest girl in the world to have such an awesome husband!  He listens to me, talks to me, is patient with me, cuddles me, lets me be silly, shops with me, encourages me, strengthens me, is my pillar, and we are BEST FRIENDS!

NOZ

heheeeee uhhhh.

So I am sitting here next to GoodLooking and we are working on my resume (don't even ask... but if you must, it always makes me feel inadequate) and he is also writing an email to Smalls and Freshman Forty about self defense and he said something like "I can never spell "EXERSIZE" right!" and I looked over and said "C-I-Z" and a second later he found the right spelling and then said "nosy" which made me slightly peeved and after about 45 second of thinking about it, I said "why'd you call me nosy"? Then he was like... "What?"

Right as I said it, I realized that he had said "NO-Z"

Then we laughed and he added the story to his email ;)

Pitifull

The other day, I made breaded ranch chicken (kind of my own recipe) and I was very upset at how big the piece of chicken was that I bought and how little itty bitty the piece was that came out of the oven.  Sometimes, I wish that I lived on a farm and I could pick out a well-endowed chicken and butcher it myself.  That way, I wouldn’t have to deal with the hormones that chickens eat today, it wouldn’t be injected or “glazed” with water then frozen and shipped to other states, AND I could sell some to other semi-health conscience consumers like myself.  But then I think, could I handle cutting off its head, plucking all it’s feathers, and reaching in the rip out insides.  I don’t live in an area where that would be acceptable (gotta love apartments!) so I am stuck buying enhanced chicken that shrinks about 50% (not even exaggerating).

Fall

Boy oh Boy, I just love fall.  I didn't used to when I lived in Hotzona (cause over there, the trees turn brown over night and the next morning all the leaves are on the ground).  When we lived in the bubble, it was so nice to drive down the pedestrian street lined with all the trees and practically watch the trees turn colors and the mountains get painted in orange, yellow, red and purple.  Here in Hotlanta it's like driving in a forest fire.  Everywhere we turn there is a flame of leaves and I love it.  Today reminded me a lot of being in the bubble actually.  The humidity has subsided and today was a grey day (which equals amazingness).

Here we have a photo over looking our precious bubble (from when we hiked the "Y" that one time right before we left)
And here is Hotlanta either one year prior to above photo or just a couple weeks later (I don't remember when I took it but it gives you the general idea)

and here we have some sunglasses (or bug eyes) wearing some humans
