Forgot to Mention

On the second day at the beach, we went to get in the water right in front of our sheet (we decided to go with a queen size sheet for under our umbrella because it is the right size and CHEEP!) and wouldn't you know (well you wouldn't know because I didn't tell you yet and I would not have expected it) there was a live crab (atleast I think it was a crab. it was a dark redish spot (maybe a rock) with pincherlike appendages and the only thing I could think of is crab and Goodlooking agreed) so we ran out and went a few yards and played elsewhere. We enjoyed the day just the same a little ways away from the sheet. We got out and played both sides of the sheet and got lots of experience in the water avoiding the dear little crab with pinchers.

IS IT A ROCK?? NOOO OF COURSE NOT, ITS BP TRYING TO CHANGE THE WORLD!!!

This last weekend, we went to Destin Florida to see the gulf before it gets real nasty (by the way, I am a BP hater). We go there Friday afternoon and spent some time at the beach right away. It was kind of sad because there were tar balls (balls of oil and sand i guess) but we got in the green water anyway (it is green because of seaweed i guess) and tried to avoid the balls.
The people in green t-shirts are the ones that sweep the beach for tarballs.
We both ended up stepping on some and getting it between our toes (nothing a little hotel soap can't clear up). After that, we went to find a hotel and ended up driving 20 miles for a good deal. We went to a homey place for our dinner where I ate frog legs for the first time (I don't really like it but I would eat it if I had to). I was impressed because they had watermelon and strawberries that get delivered to them by locals in the mornings. It was really good and we went back to the hotel to watch a little tv (which is what we do on vacation since we don't have television at home). The next morning, we went back to the beach which was a little better and had less tar balls. We stayed from 10-3 there just hanging out playing with the boogie boards and getting some sun. I applied my suns screen like a good girl and I still got burned on my back (pretty bad) and my arms got a little bit but they tanned nicely already I think.
Anyway, it was a good weekend and it was nice to get away just the two of us.

A long time coming EH?

We have been here in Georgia for a while now and still no job but a few good outlooks. I have had many an interview and had to say no to a few offers because it was not what I was looking for. I am looking into different schools and have almost pinned one that I will attend.
We spend the weekends looking at new homes for fun. We go threw the furnished open houses and see what kind of houses are available and it motivates us to save money so that we can buy a house as soon as possible. There are a lot that I would like but we found the PERFECT floor plan for a first home that can be updated if we so desire once we are more established. There are some homes that we walk through just for fun. Like the 500,000 dollar homes with amazing home theatres and lots of space and cool details. We are excited to move into the home buying stage but will be happy to not have to do any major repairs in our apartment dwelling stage (that will hopefully not last forever).
Memorial weekend, we decided to do an all nighter. We bought some new games and new movies and set out to stay up all night. It did not work, we ended going to bed around 4 I think. One of the new games we got was the Monopoly card game which is a lot of fun because I like playing Monopoly but Goodlooking doesn't because it takes too long. The card game takes about 10-15 minutes per round.
On the Monday that Goodlooking had off work, we went to the park and had a picnic then threw around the frisbee. It was a lot of fun but had to stop short because we were getting way to sweaty (just from throwing a frisbee and running to get it... it is soooo humid).
Last week, I spent at our wards girls camp. It was fun and VERY different from the girls camp that I attended. I volunteered to just be an extra body to help out wherever needed and the first two days was not used as much as I would have liked but the last few days was utilized very well. The camp was extremely hot and humid (like to a disgusting point) and I was glad that showers were allowed whenever. At my camp, we got one 5 minute shower the whole week (it was not anywhere near as hot OR humid at my camp). Everyone sleeps in cabins, all the certification was already done, and there was a lake. Included was spiders, TICKS, AND CHIGGERS) I have never seen ticks or heard of chiggers so I did learn a lot on last week. A chigger lives in pine cones and grass and is not visible to the eye. It gets into your skin and burrows. If it doesn't like where it is, it will move in a chain and you will have a chain of bumps till it finds a nice warm spot to settle down and not pay rent. Ticks just hunker down and suck your blood and you have to dig it out or burn it.
I am thankfully home now and enjoying air-conditioning and not dripping with sweat from sitting in my cabin.

Georgia Life

So, funny thing, we are still not completely unpacked!!! ahahaaaa
Things have been pretty hectic here. I spend about 3 hours or more in the leasing office on the internet looking for a job.
I have been working on getting money back from cartus which is like trying to pull an impacted wisdom tooth with curled roots from a mouth that is too small for the right instrument (I have never had to do that or help do that but I have heard stories).
I have been working out growing some serious muscle.
I don't sleep well and I don't know 100% sure why but I THINK it is because the bed is turned in a different direction from the way our bed was in Utah. The reason I think this is because last night I took my pillow and went to the foot of the bed and I slept pretty well till goodlooking woke me up and had me turn the correct way. I know it sounds weird BUT when it comes to sleep, I am extremely picky!
I have been missing Utah and thinking about the past and I went to the mail and there was a nice little box from Mapleton. It might not be much or even a big deal but it made my day and it is only 1:30 in the afternoon. It has pictures of Utah and all the fun things there are to do there.
I guess that is all for now.

HOTEL

I just saw a dumb commercial and I want to say something about it that might be even more dumb but I am tired and I guess this is the tired part of my brain updating this thing right now.

It was a Jimmy Dean Breakfast commercial with the solar system and they are in this large room trying to orbit but they didn't have the JD B (Jimmy Dean Breakfast). The sun says "It's only 10 o clock. Did you have your JDB?"(but he says the real name). and everyone says "ehhhh" and they are all passed out in various areas of the room. So everyone has a croissant and everything is great and they are orbiting and happy and energetic.
What I have to say is something I thought about:: if the solar system were planets with personalities, POOR SUN. All the planets get to orbit and move and socialize a little and some have moon friends but the sun..... Sure he provides the light and is the center of our universe but he doesn't get friends.
I know this is kind of dumb but I thought it was kind of funny too.
ANYWAY................

HOTLANTA

This is our first hike up the Y. YAY!! lots of fun
ATL skyline. (On the way to the hotel for a week of temporary living)

I don't know if I posted this yet but it is the outside of our building IF the apartment is nice.

Can anyone guess where this is?

So, I am looking for a job today. I have applied to a few things. One of them looks really good, it's a dental front office in Marietta 7-4. It would be really nice.
