Little Brother Turns One

We started off the morning with French toast.
He loves to eat just about anything but jarred baby food so we started off great.

I went to the gym and GoodLooking took Honey and Little Brother grocery shopping. After that we went to pick up some fruit that we ordered.

For lunch we had pizza!
He must have been tired because it was not greatly enjoyed. He started rubbing it all over his eyes, hair, and face.
I cleaned him up and we gave him the present that dad and Honey got for him.
It's a stuffed dog from build a bear workshop. Dad also got Honey a shirt for her bear that had Olaf on it.

Naps were had and we had more pizza for dinner. Allen had peanut butter and jelly though.

After dinner we had CAKE! With ice cream.
It was a good day!
HAPPY ONE YEAR BROTHER.

In other news:: our house is still not fully unpacked. Brother is close to walking. I go to the gym 6 days a week. Honey loves our new house and can buckle herself into her car seat. GoodLooking starts school in August and plays basketball every Friday night.

House update

GoodLooking went to the house today and the garage door and exterior paint is done as well as the driveway and all grading OH and we have a (shared) mailbox and sidewalk. Interior walls are painted, granite counters up, bathroom sinks installed, light fixtures in, light switches and outlet plates installed, doors up, and tile put in.
The builder says the 24th is the soonest it could be done but it seems like the list of things to do is pretty short. IDK.

Little Brother is One but celebrations have not been had yet. He loves to eat just about anything and a lot of it. Is a pleasant baby, ticklish, good sleeper, waves bye with both hands, has two bottom teeth one upper that just came through and another upper working on it but you wouldn't know it because he is such s good boy.

Honey is so smart! She is getting better at speaking American and yesterday in the car with her 6 yr old cousin she had a conversation where she mostly just asked a lot of questions but it was cute and she had never done that before. She understands that we have a new house being built and that our stuff is on a truck but she thinks dad is still on the airplane (he flew back on Monday).

GoodLooking is working hard to support my new hobby of quilting, Honeys love for stickers, and Little Brothers interest in food. He got some awesome new shoes because his got packed up. He plays basketball once a week would like to either find or make an ultimate frisbee group for Saturday mornings.

Arizona Sun is so close to finishing the quilt for Honey, is spending quality time in Arizona while the house is being built, forgot her running shoes so is missing out on training, and is looking forward to being together with her husband in the new house.

New House... Not just new to me but to the world

Hi, so earlier I noted that we are purchasing a new build! Here is some information about it.
- 4bedroom/2 bath
- small 2 car garage
- study
- open concept
- granite in kitchen
- DR Horton builder
- 1800 sqft
- could be ready on 17th (big maybe depending on weather)
Yes it is small but here are a few great things about it being small
- utility bill
- togetherness
- easy to clean
- utility bill
- because of utility bill being small we can afford other things like the rocking recliner I have wanted so bad so I can rock my babies, nice washer/dryer, and second car.
And it's a new build so
- I don't have to worry about allergens already in the house (cat and smoke)
- energy efficient

I'm very excited for my new home and here's a pic of the floor plan in case anyone was wondering.
- no doors on study
- just a tub/shower combo in master with shelves next to it where we could put a shower later if we wanted.

Update from last post
-there is an outlet in laundry nook
- no sound proofing
- the builder said he would block for ceiling fans but jack said he doesn't think he did (he went in the attic but was dressed for work so couldn't really get close enough I guess)

Updates
I made it 4 miles that Saturday but injured myself so I haven't run much since but I did get new shoes after having my run analyzed.
Brother finally broke a top tooth. I have basically stopped nursing. I nurse about every 2 days.
Honey loves stickers.
GoodLooking plays basketball once a week.
We went to our new ward today! Honey was actually whining for me to stay. This is strange for her because she usually just goes in and is happy but today she begged for me to stay which I did for 1 minute and started her talking to the girl next to her but then I left (still whining) but I checked a bit later and she was fine.

Housing (and Throw Back Thursday)

So we did NOT get that house. The seller decided to go with a different offer (NOT a surprise.  If you look up the housing market in FW right now it is awesome... if you are selling a house... Not so awesome if you have a contingency and have to wait till your house closes).
So, we have landed on a NEW BUILD! From the beginning (and by this I mean when we RECENTLY started looking at houses again) I was so against doing a new build because it might take too long and we will be homeless soon.  With that said, I was surprised and how right this feels and how things are clicking (I am scared to say that because it could still unclick but I am optimistic right now).  GoodLooking sent me the floor plan and I really liked it.  He looked at the model and on the FaceTime I got excited.  He was supposed to see another house but I liked it so much I told him not to. We have a few things we would like to add like wiring for ceiling fans in all the rooms, an outlet in a nook in the laundry room (which makes it sound fancy but really its not special), and sound proofing a short wall of a bedroom that is also the living room wall.  Not huge additions but hopefully it doesn't cost too much.  I am still worried about closing when we need to (I am bringing my Mum home with me from AZ for a week (Normally I am freaked out about saying "hey we won't be home for 3 weeks, please come during that time and steal all our stuff" BUT we won't have a home in this situation so it doesn't apply... Just try to find where all our stuff is... I won't even know where it is).   Hopefully the weather is good and the builders can work on it everyday till it is ready for us to move in early (not by rushing... please don't rush and do things wrong.  Just work at a regular pace and be done early... Miracles happen).

Other news, Honey has thrown up 2 days in a row now.
Little Brother eats like a horse.
So do I.
I am supposed to run 5 miles on Saturday but I haven't been able to run all week.
I am doing a 10K on May 30th in DFW.
We got a new bed... Cali King and my body doesn't hurt when i get up now (great investment!)

This photo was taken about this time EIGHT YEARS AGO. We were dating and I needed a picture to send home to my family so they could see who I was into.
I AM SO BLESSED!
This August will be
8 years
4 states
5 rentals
2 homes
2 kids
4 major surgeries (all for me)

Im sure I could think of more of these but I am finally tired.

Life Back And Forth

We had a two week break from driving back and forth to Fort Worth. The first week, Jack went up during the week to work and stayed with a guy he knows from BYU. The second week Fort Worth had an ice and snow storm so Jack stayed home and did a few hours a day on his work computer.
this week though (since we have a good offer on the house) we all went up so I could look for a place to live. We were planning to rent but I spent 3 hours on Monday driving around to houses I liked from the rental websites but I couldn't get a hold of ANY of the numbers on the signs OR the website (I'm sure you can imagine me driving around with 2 bored hungry babies crying and me trying to leave messages and getting frustrated because I can't get anywhere in the process and I don't know anything). So, we have decided to BUY. I feel so much better about that decision.
We got in touch with our realtor in Fort Worth and told him what we were looking for and he sent us a bunch of listings. The kids, me, and the realtor then looked at SEVEN houses on Tuesday. We went back to 4 with Jack on Wednesday but he didn't like them so we started again on Thursday with THREE different houses to look at. We loved the first one but went to the others to see. We went back to the first one and decided to make an offer... It had been on the market for SIX days and we were the second offer. AND they have an open house tomorrow. SO I am feeling defeated, deflated, anxious, stressed, sad, a little mad, confused, and impatient. They are going to wait till Monday to choose an offer which is good for them but not so good for us because we don't want to go over current asking price. It is a REALLY good price BTW. we close and need to be out by March 26th but thankfully me and the kids will be in AZ till mid April (but not leaving TX till April 3rd) AND I am bringing Mum Bryce home with me!!! I can't be homeless at that point!!  We have 11 days to find something. WHOA.

In other news, I was 2 miles into a REALLY good 3 mile run and the child care lady comes and says Allen just threw up and rules are I have to come get him. He is fine but I didn't get to finish OR shower.
Oh yeah it snowed on Wednesday night
