Mush, Snow, and 1 T means tablespoon (cont.)

Day two
Grandma REALLY knows how to make a great bed! And the mush is amazing.
I was on the phone with KT getting directions to her game at BYUI and good looking* was being CRAZY all over the road so I said “quit it out!” I later found out that he wasn’t doing it on purpose. He was sliding on the ice but had one hand behind his back because he was taking his jacket off. AH!
Do you remember that itch in my ear that made me go deaf? This is why that happened. I pushed this further in.-------
We got to the game safe and in one piece (thank goodness). While we were waiting for the game to start, someone down on the floor needed people to do player stats and the shot clock. We went down to help out and I got to run the shot clock. It was stressful at first because the other team’s coach yelled at me because I restarted it when I wasn’t supposed to. Jack said that it doesn’t matter too much because it was a girls intramural (sp) game but I am sure that to those girls it matters a lot. It was also a little stressful because I don’t know all the rules of basketball, I just enjoy watching it (just not Tavanari).
After the game, I got to see KTs apartment while she packed and we went to lunch with her and her (boy)friend (it’s a boy that is her friend). Then back to grandma’s. During supper, one of the men from their ward came over. Apparently, a truck came by with organic milk and was too heavy for the port of entry so he had to unload 30 [plus] cases of organic skim, 1% and 2% milk. So, we got to take 3 gallons of organic milk home with us.
After supper, KT had a date but the roads were REALLY bad so he came over and we played games with them (he brought her some pretty flowers). It was a ton of fun and we probably stayed out too late but it was great. (stay tuned for excerpts)

Day Three
We all went to church and for lunch had Thanksgiving…. Seriously! It included turkey, green beans, potatoes, rolls, stuffing, Jell-o, and cherry pie/cobbler. Then, keeping with tradition of Thanksgiving, we took a nap. I looked at the newspaper for a while then we had supper.
After supper, John and Karen came over and we all talked till bed time.
At this time, I would like to add that I love going to grandma’s house. When I go, I feel like a grandchild. I love the warm mush every morning and dinner in the afternoon with a supper at night. It feels so wonderful to be able to come and have a great time. It is a place where time happens elsewhere and the only thing that matters is spending time together. It makes me excited to be a grandparent one day so I can spoil my grandchildren.

Day Four
Got up early and had mush and pancakes with lovely delicious brown eggs. Good looking*, KT, and I got ready to play in the snow then went to John and Karens. They let us use their snow mobiles which was a ton of fun to just ride around on. I have never been on one and I am glad to have that experience. After that we used the sled and the snowmobile to pick us up at the bottom of the hill. It was really nice to not have to walk up the big hill every time we went down. I think that if we had to walk up, we wouldn’t have stayed out there that long.
Afterward, we went in the house and Karen gave us 18 fresh, from her own chickens, brown eggs. I am so excited to eat them.
We went back to grandmas and started making fajitas and cake mix cinnamon rolls. KT called her sister to get the recipe because of course she didn’t bring the book with her (just so everyone knows, the big “T” means Tablespoon and the little one means teaspoon). They turned out delicious. We then lounged and enjoyed each other till Jack and I left. We drove home safely and I got today off because there was only one appointment. Tomorrow, I go to the hospital to be an assistant then have Thursday off as well.

18 lovely months

This is the very first picture of Goodlooking and I. In fact, this is the picture that I sent home to my sisters so my family could see what this guy looked like that I said I liked so much. He took the picture with my camera.

I really like this picture.. Kay!

Homeless Shelter de Bryce

Homeless person Perspective:
Last night I found a fabulous new shelter. There was nice blankets, it was warm, well light, personal bathroom, washer and dryer, quiet, and everything a person in my unfortunate situation could ask for except food. The only drawbacks are I have to wait till about 11 pm and the lights go off at the "neighbors" place before I can bunk up for the night and I have to be out before 6 in the am. Well, I must have forgot to set my alarm or I missed the wake up call cause the next thing I know a 6'6" giant is coming out my "neighbors" door leaving to go to work at 6:30 in the morning. So I hurry quick packed up put on my jacket and lit out. But I'll be back tommorrow night. This place is too good to be true!

"Neighbors" Perspective:
I came home the other day from work and wrote out my check for expencive rent and went downstairs to pay the lady. I walked in the door and handed her the check and she asked me if I had seen Goodlooking today. Then she told me about the homeless person who had found a home on our "porch" (on the top of the stairs leading to our door, there is a landing which is quite warm). Jack later told me that that morning he had left for work and there he was getting ready to leave. We tried to lock the very front door to the building so that he can't get in but the next morning it was evident that he had gotten in. The Landlord is working on getting it fixed but till then we have a "neighbor".

I was killed by a scorpion

Once upon a time, the summer before I was wed, I sent a certain email to my Husband to be.
It is as follows:
Last night, at about 2:00am I rolled over in my bed and adjusted my pillows. when I put my head down to once again enjoy sleep, i felt something tingle my arm then it hurt as if someone had just shanked me. I sat up real quick and sleepily rubbed the affected area. I sat there whimpering while wondering what could have just happened. I grabbed my phone to use as a light. I opened the phone to allow the light to burst out upon a scorpion. I quickly used my phone as a murdering device and cried openly. I didn't only cry becasue I was in pain or because a little scorpion had just ruined my night. I cried because it was indeed a scorpion. It could have killed me and I live with them. I then continued to cry because of my situation and out of desperation for a place to go to sleep. I packed a few things and started driving at 2:30. I called Lynnette and told her that I was coming and I would explain when I got there. When I arrived, I explained that my face was swollen due to crying and that I had been stung. I then slept in her room after much comfort from her. The point is. I was stung and am now uncomfortable sleeping [where I was]. I don't know what to do. I wanted to call you soooo bad but I know that you are sick and need your rest plus I don't know what you would have been able to do other than comfort me... which is a big thing but I needed a place to sleep. love ya lots lins

At the time Goodlooking was deathly sick (not really deathly but probably felt like dying).
